The Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) credential is the
premium certification for professionals who design and develop custom
business solutions with Microsoft development tools, technologies, and
platforms. The new MCSD track includes certification exams that test
user's ability to build Web-based, distributed, and commerce applications
by using Microsoft products, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft
Visual Studio, and Microsoft Component Services.

| How Do I Get
MCSD Certified? |
|
MCSDs are required to pass three core exams and
one elective exam. Of the core exams, the candidate must take one desktop applications development,
one distributed applications development and one solutions architecture course. In addition, the candidate
must choose one elective.
